Hello! I’m Maureen and I love flowers. After raising two wonderful children and dedicating almost 30 years to running a business with my husband, I found myself spending more and more time in my flower garden. I have always loved to share what I grow with others and take great joy in bringing bouquets to family and friends. It is through that sharing, that Precious Acres Flowers was born.

Dahlias are at the heart of Precious Acres Flowers. Known as “the queen of the garden,” they have become my signature bloom. Introduced to the Dahlia by a lifelong flower farmer and dear friend who gifted me some tubers, it quickly became something special. His mentorship has been invaluable. With over 100 varieties in my garden, Dahlias inspire me with their endless colors, shapes, and abundance.

I am deeply committed to supporting pollinators and building healthy soil through sustainable growing practices. Working in partnership with nature to build healthy soil through our own compost is so important to us. Alongside our field of annual blooms, we grow a native pollinator and perennial garden to support bees, butterflies, and beneficial insects throughout the growing season.

Every bouquet offered is hand-harvested and thoughtfully arranged using the freshest blooms from the field right here in Jamesport on the North Fork of Long Island.
